IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING 2010 EXAMINATIONS

  • Class XII Student will appear for the first time in Graphics Design Course (Code NO – 71) and Heritage Crafts (Code no 70). Sample Question papers in both the subjects have been posted on the Board’s website www.cbse.nic.in.
  • All students of Class X in the current academic year will be taking the CBSE Board’s Class X 2010 Examination. The weightage of the school based assessment will remain the same as per past practice, i.e. 20% each in the subjects of Science, Social Science and Mathematics.
  • The new Grading system has been introduced at Secondary School level (for Classes IX & X) effective from 2009-10 Academic Sessions. The details of grading scheme have been circulated to school via circular no 39 & 40 available on website www.cbse.nic.in.

Question Papers in Braille for Class X visually impaired Students:

The Board has for the first time decided to provide class X question papers of Maths and Science in Braille for Blind candidates. Already question papers without visual inputs are being provided in enlarged print to these students in the subjects of English and social science.

For private candidates appearing from Delhi Region

    Intimation letters to all the private candidates appearing for class X & XII examination 2010 have been sent. Private candidates may collect admit card from the examination centre mentioned in their intimation letter. In case intimation letter is not received, it may be printed from CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in and on production of the same at the examination centre, Admit Card can be collected or CBSE Regional Office at Institutional Area, I. P. Extension, Patparganj, Delhi can also be contacted during normal working hours.

    QUESTION-ANSWER COLUMNS:

    CBSE has tied-up with national papers Like The Hindu, Hindustan Times and for the first time with Deccan Chronicle for weekly Question Answer Columns throughout the month of February to answer queries of students by CBSE experts.


    ON-LINE COUNSELING:

    Public can also log on to the CBSE website and Interact with Chairman on exam related issues. The Director (Academic) and Controller of Examinations, CBSE can also be contacted for On-line counseling on: diracad.cbse@yahoo.co.in, mcsharma2007@rediffmail.com.
